After crazy upsets - IEM WC Finalists set

The first one to get on the list of teams that won against the odds was Yoe Flash Wolves. The number 2 team from the Southeast Asian LMS and Winners of IEM 9 Tapei dropped down to the looser bracket of their group after loosing to SK Gaming. After that though they took out Cloud 9 and went into a rematch against SK and to most peoples surpise made it into the semifinals.

In Group B most people had set as CJ Entus being the favourite group as they had shown great form being the number 2 team from the LCK, right after the number 1, the dominating GE Tigers. But After a solid and expected win against Gambit they faultered in the upper bracket of their group against a very strong looking TSM. Facing World Elite in the decider game, everyone was expecting them to at least make it out in second place, but it was not to be. The 11th ranked team from the LPL took out CJ with their brand new mid laner "Xiye" playing teleport Diana. Yes you read right, not kidding.

But it doesn't stop there. WE opponent in the semis was GE Tigers. The best team in the world, utterly dominating the LCK going 10-0 in best of 3 series, 22-2 in map score. They cruised through easily with wins against C9 and SK in the upper bracket, wanting to repeat what KT Rolster Bullets had done last year at IEM Katowice. The odds for WE to win this series are about as likely as "for hell to freeze over" as MonteChristo put it. I guess the devil will have to turn on the heater because to everyones surprise the chinese squad that just came together as they landed in Poland, actually won this series and advance into tomorrows final. This is probably the single biggest upset in the history of League of Legends.

No matter what you thought was going to happen it's highly doubtable that anyone had these two teams as the finalists battling for the trophy tomorrow night in the Spodek Arena:

World Elite vs. Team Solo Mid
