After four days in Taipei, League of Legends' world championship now travels to Singapore for the second half of the group stage. Before the week is over, the eight finalists will be known.

The Worlds finals started last week as eight teams flew to Taiwan to play out groups A and B. Four days of action saw tournament favorites Samsung White destroy Group A, going 6-0 against EDG, AHQ and Dark Passage in an expected turn of events. The standings were finalized with a tie-breaker thriller between Edward Gaming and AHQ which ultimately advanced the Chinese team forward.

In Group B it was Star Horn Royal Club taking the top spot, despite serious contesting from TSM. The Americans were 3-1 before the final day and a win against the Chinese gave them home for a potential tie breaker should TSM win their next match against SK Gaming. Their hopes were shattered in the last match of Group B, however, as SK Gaming edged out Bjergsen and co after a critical late-game mistake by the NA team, robbing them of the chance to contest the top spot in Group B. Although TSM were sure to advance to the playoffs, Reginald's team must now face the dreaded Samsung White, in what experts are predicting to be an easy sweep for the Korean squad.

Starting September 25th, the next four days of 2014 Worlds will fill the other half of the grand finals bracket. In Group C, Europe's hope and three times LCS Europe champions Fnatic are going against three Asian teams in LMQ (LCS NA), OMG (LPL) and the group powerhouses Samsung Blue (OGN). In Group B, NA Summer runner-ups Cloud 9 and EU Summer champions Alliance are pitted against OGN regionals champions Najin White Shield and PAX Wildcard winners KaBuM!
