While the old favorites of Gambit Gaming seem to have long lost their spark, Fnatic seems to be recovering quite well and finding it again, tying SK Gaming for 2nd place.
For the start of the second half of the day, Millenium took on Gambit Gaming. Diamondprox opened up the drafting phase with an exciting Skarner pick. Unfortunately for him, Kottenx showed what he was capable of on Lee Sin and secured first blood.
if that wasn't bad enough, Gambit Gaming continued to get thoroughly stomped throughout the duration of the game, with Kottenx having astonishing kill participation. Gambit Gaming were not able to keep up with the pressure and Millenium steamrolled through them with a win.
Next up was Copenhagen Wolves vs. a quickly improving Supa Hot Crew. Copenhagen Wolves were playing sloppily and thus found few opportunities to find advantages throughout the game.
This was supplemented by the fact that Supa Hot Crew started out with a crushing 2-0 lead in the very early stages of the game. Though Copenhagen Wolves attempted to find ways to hold out in this game, their efforts were in vain as Supa Hot Crew quickly punished all mistakes and took the game.
The last game of the day would be an opportunity for Gambit Gaming to find revenge against Fnatic. Alas, no such revenge would be had. Fnatic found an early first blood onto Diamondprox, setting him behind in the jungle. Fnatic then continued onward to grab a dragon as well as another kill.
By this point, Fnatic had acquired a huge lead. Gambit Gaming's ray of light would be a couple of picks they managed to achieve in the mid game. However, Fnatic's support structure was incredibly strong and YellOwStaR achieved 100% kill participation. Fnatic's synergy was on point, allowing them to grab a victory and tie SK Gaming for a second place spot.
