Ninjas in Pyjamas releases its League of Legends team

Ninjas in Pyjamas have now announced that they will release their League of Legends team. However, they are not closing their League of Legends section, possibly leaving place for a new team to be acquired.

Last week, Ninjas in Pyjamas' League of Legends team failed to qualify for the European LCS summer split. Rumors about a disband have been circling the web, especially reddit ever since. Now it is official, even though the official statement does not state that the team will disband, just leave the organization. Currently, speculations about a new superteam like Alliance is spreading. Some of the players from the now former Ninjas in Pyjamas team are rumored to be a part of this team. But officially, the entire roster is free agent at the moment.

The roster is:

  • Morten “Zorozero” Rosenquist - Top
  • Johan “Hulberto” Johansson - Jungle
  • Erlend “nukeduck” Våtevik Holm - Mid
  • Aleš “Freeze” Kn?žínek - Marksman
  • Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodriguez - Support

The managing director of Ninjas in Pyjamas said:

“It is with a heavy heart that we now announce the splitting of the current league of legends squad. There has been a number of ups and downs with our foray into league of legends, but all in all it has been a rewarding experience.
We hope that we have more announcements with regards to our future in League of Legends soon, in the meantime hang in there, and as always Go ninjas!”

So for now, keep an eye out for a new potential team being acquired by Ninjas in Pyjamas during the next few days. As for the players, they will stay in the gaming house until they are able to move back to their previous homes, or a new one.
