Gambit Gaming clinch a very necessary and career saving third win in their best of 3 against Copenhagen Wolves to guarantee a spot in the playoffs.  Meanwhile, Copenhagen Wolves proceeds to the relegation tournament to fight for their spot back in the LCS.

Game 1 looked like Gambit Gaming hadn't learned their lesson from the prior day in the quarterfinals.  Copenhagen Wolves were absolutely crushing Gambit Gaming.  They held a 5-0 kill lead as well as a 2-0 tower lead 20 minutes in.  While Copenhagen Wolves were ahead, their play was not perfect, and Gambit Gaming were there to capitalize.  Copenhagen Wolves were found out of position and Gambit quickly acquired some kills in an attempt to catch back up.

The game dragged on for quite some time with an unusually low tower count for the current patch.  With a few deciding teamfights in the late game, Copenhagen Wolves took game 1.

Game 2 ended up with Darien attempting to pick Pantheon to counterpick Ryze.  It didn't work as well as he'd hope as he fell quite behind in CS and was forced into triple Doran's Blades and other early investments to stay in the lane.  Gambit cut their passivity in some areas and had a much more aggressive approach to dragon, but Copenhagen Wolves still came out ahead in teamfihgts.  Gambit Gaming also had the habit of sticking around just a bit too long.

The game stretched very late yet again with not many turrets, but the stalemate came to an end when Gambit Gaming acquired a baron. The baron was enough to shift the game in their favor and the game ended dramatically with Genja acquiring a pentakill.

The third and final game ended up not looking so hot for the Russian squad.  Edward got picked off almost immediately, but did manage to acquire a dragon after a long fight.  The battle continued to rage back and forth, but Gambit Gaming showed dragon dominance.  With Diamondprox taking a lesson from his time in Katowice from KT Rolster Bullets, he was able to bait with Kha'Zix and allow Alex to pick up a triple kill, a 4-1 trade for his team over all, including the dragon going down.

Gambit Gaming then enforced a "stealth bomb" strategy, attempting to use Genja as a ball carrier for Alex Ich's shockwave on Orianna.  While the shockwave accuracy wasn't stellar, it was enough to force Copenhagen Wolves into an unfavorable position.  Gambit Gaming were able to consistently win fights and pick up a baron.  Gambit Gaming's Genja got picked off, which looked terrifying for the team, but even without him, the team were able to pick up an ace.

After picking up several small advantages, smiles glistened amongst the faces of Gambit Gaming in relief as they had secured their spot back in the LCS after winning the set against Copenhagen Wolves 2-1.
