In an interview with Travis, Liquid - the General Manager of Curse Gaming - announced his separation from Curse INC.
In his statement, Liquid points out that on March 1st the entire Curse E-Sports department of Curse Inc. was sold to him. As of now, Liquid is both owner and general manager of Curse Gaming. Unfulfilled financial expectations that Curse Inc. had towards the E-sports department is pointed as main reason for the change of ownership.
Liquid expresses the opinion that transferring from corporate business to a more branched business would give him the opportunity to be more flexible and to manage the gaming organization more efficiently, through fast decision, unobstructed by corporate procedures. Liquid will be owner of both material and intellectual property that Curse gaming is associated with, while Curse Inc. will remain bound as main sponsor of the team.
In addition, Liquid talks about relations with sponsoring associations as well as communicating with fans. In addition to already assembling a League of Legends team in the Oceania region, the general manager mentions possibly expanding to other games depending on their popularity.
