Due to a referee's mishandling of a visible bug report, the game between Gambit and SK Gaming will be remade today after the other scheduled LCS matches.

During yesterday's second EU LCS match between Gambit Gaming and SK Gaming, Darien abused a known Aatrox bug, and SK Gaming paused the game to consult the referee. The referee did not ask SK Gaming if they would like to request a remake, as was his prerogative according to the rules. As such, Riot Nick Allen announced today that the match would be remade after the other Week 10 EU LCS games are played.
Riot also released the letter sent to all EU LCS players clearly outlining the rules and why this particular case qualified for a remake as opposed to the Annie Tibbers bug in the match between Coast and Curse a few weeks ago. They stated that, in the case of a visible bug, the referee should offer a remake if the negatively affected team pauses the game immediately after the bug occurs, which SK Gaming did. They also pointed out that this only works if the bug is clearly visible to a third part observer.
"this choice will only be offered in the case of a visible and verifiable bug that occurred immediately before the pause"

The rematch is scheduled for 22:00 CET today. There have been some cries of outrage from other members of the community, including Gambit Gaming's mid laner, Alex Ich.
"Strange decision from Riot. Aatrox bug only occured early game, when u change ur W stance it disappears. Botlane and Midlane of SK lost hard and at the same time Darien was still losing his lane and was losing in cs. There were much harder bugs that were never replayed... We didn't even know that there was a bug ourself until we have read it on Reddit.
"You shouldn't blame SK on this decision. They didn't ask or force remake, it is totally Riot decision. We are ready to play the rematch and will try our best to win the game again."
—Alex Ich, 2014
Alexi's insistence of ignorance regarding the bug is somewhat peculiar given that it requires the stance to be toggled to activate, but his complaint raises a valid concern nonetheless. We will see of the community backlash is too large, or if this yet unprecedented decision will set a new standard. If this is the case, more remakes could be the future competitive League of Legends.
The bug in question involves the intentional switching between the champion Aatrox's Blood Thirst and Blood Prices stances between attacks. Normally, in Blood Thirst, Aatrox will only heal himself on every third auto attack, but if the stance is switched between auto attacks and then switched back, the player can benefit from the heal on every auto attack. A video of the bug can be found below.
As a result, Aatrox will also be banned from the LCS until the bug is fixed. It is likely that this ban will transfer to other leagues and tournaments internationally.
