The tournament was created with the objective of solidifying the competitive LoL scene within Latin America.
Aiming to solidify the LoL competitive scene in the Latin American region, Riot Games announced today a big new tournament for this region, the Latin American Cup, which will be the major event for the teams of two Latin American servers (LAS/LAT) in this year.
For the teams of Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Mexico, Riot Games created four national leagues along with ESLA, Argentine Tournaments Series, Samsung League and GG Colombia. The top four teams from nations leagues will play a small playoff, where the best team of each playoff will win a spot for the "Paradas Competitivas", the last stage of Latin American Cup.
According to Riot Games three editions of "Parada Competitiva" will be organized in this year. The first edition will be played in Santiago, capital of Chile. The best teams from "Parada Competitivas" ranking will qualify for Latin American Cup, which will be played at Mexico City.
