Singapore makes first player transfer, Hyhy leaves

Hoong 'Kryonics' Fan becomes the first player to be transferred in Singapore when he joins Singapore Sentinels as their new mid laner.

Despite player transfers becoming popular in the League of Legends scene internationally, Singapore's management has not seen it fit to swap in players from other teams to improve their lineups until now.  In the past two regional qualifiers, Singapore Sentinels, considered Singapore's premier team, has lost out in the finals—to Saigon Joker's in season two and to Mineski in season three—barring them from representing Southeast Asia at the World Championship.  It doesn't seem like a coincidence that Singapore Sentinels' management transferred a sum of money to Insidious Gaming to acquire Hoong 'Kryonics' Fan from Team Exile so soon after season three's end.

By taking this step, Singapore Sentinels' management signals that they are serious about snatching any opportunity to shore up the competitiveness of the team for the coming season's Garena Premier League.  In the past, the Sentinels have placed a lot of pressure on marksman Wong 'Chawy' Xing Lei to perform, and management may see Kryonics as new talent to shoulder the carry potential of the team.  Previous mid laner, Benedict 'hyhy' Lim Han Yong is currently without a team.

Be sure to watch Kryonics as well as the rest of the Singapore Sentinels in next season's GPL.
