Edward confirms return to Europe

7dc5467f4be13d4e9e6916650103146712588fff22b0efc66c3fbb5f76.jpgEdward has released a statement on his Facebook confirming his intention to return to Europe after his release from Curse.

Following his recent release from Curse, renowned Support player Edward ‘Edward’ Abgaryan is once again looking to show his skills in the European scene where he made his name. Having spent the Season 3 LCS Summer Split in North America, Edward has clearly stated his intention to return to his home region today on his Facebook page, announcing:

A lot of ppl asking me where will i play , all what i can say it's gonna be europe.

This has confirmed many rumors which have been floating around since the end of the Summer Split. It appears that with Curse’s announcement of their new roster and LoLPro team and the exclusion of Edward from all rosters, the man himself has decided to move back to Europe. Edward made his name with Gambit Gaming, growing with the team from their Moscow 5 and Empire days, performing admirably alongside Evgeny ‘Genja’ Andryushin while creating a reputation for himself as one of the most aggressive supports in the world and notable Thresh and Sona player.

It is currently not clear which team Edward will end up at, given that arguably his most obvious location, Gambit Gaming, was apparently in part the cause of his original departure from Europe, given the playstyle differences between him and Genja. Regardless, having had experience of several competition victories with Gambit, including a metagame shifting domination at IEM Season VII - Global Challenge Katowice, and a semi-final placing at the IEM World Championships in Season 2, Edward is likely to be in high demand going into the Season 4 Promotion and Relegation playoffs.
