A major sponsor will be assisting Riot in helping players in their transition in their careers into professional gamers.
Running alongside the LCS for both North America and Europe will be the new challenger competition sponsored by Coke Zero. A sponsorship as large as Coke is good news for both League of Legends as an eSports and for job security of aspiring professional gamers. This competition will operate by putting top-ranked teams from the Ranked 5's Ladder in Challenger Tier against one another.
The rising teams will be able to fight for a spot to play in a live championship tournament, where the winner receives a shot in the official LCS for both North America and Europe. Players can begin climbing the ranked ladder when Season 4 begins.
