The recently recruited top laner leaves his team to pursue his education.
From a Facebook post made just a few hours ago, Vytautas "extinkt" M?linauskas has just announced that he is parting ways Ninjas in Pyjamas, verifying the rumours made on reddit. Extinkt was well-known for his time in the now-defunct Curse.EU, where he and his teammate, fellow NiP member Malunoo were one of the top teams in Europe, able to defeat even the dominant Moscow Five, now Gambit Gaming, then. His deep champion pool made him a diffiicult player to ban out, and allowed his team to create a wide variety of strategies.
A quote from his official statement:
The reasoning for this is quite simple - I have lost the drive that I had the past 2 years while competing at the highest level. Instead, I decided to study, starting this September. The reason I'm leaving now instead of after the playoffs is to give my team a better shot at worlds, which I am quite sure they will make.
Ninjas in Pyjamas has yet to announce its official replacement for extinkt.
