The Classic Duo pull ahead again in Superweek Day 3

?
After showing that they may slip up and throw leads in both games, the old veterans of NA end up pulling out ahead and taking their games and pulling out stronger results.

It did not take very long before the action took off in Team Solomid vs. Vulcun.  A full-out skirmish near dragon would result in trades going back and forth with summoners being blown, but ultimately Team Solomid acquirred the first game of the tournament.

Their early advantages didn't stop there, however, and TSM picked up the 4:30 bottom turret.
Not letting up on the dominating performance early vs. Vulcun, TSM was okay trading middle turret for a dragon, keep their gold lead a little above 1000 gold, which was quite substantial for the period of the game.  A huge wave top also allows TSM to freely take a turret with the help of TheOddOne, looking for the fast win.

TSM's game was anything but calm, and Xpecial played very impressively.

After a very long period, the game went stalemate due to both sides playing it safe and not wanting to throw away the lead.  Eventually, Team Solomid would find the team synergy to pull out on top.  Even though Vulcun made some aggressive moves early, they would not be the ones to benefit from it.

As the game drew nearer to the end, the gap between the two teams grew exponentially.  Team Solomid was just pulling out all stops and coming out way ahead, ripping their opponents to shreds after the last 2 victories they faced.  Ultimately, Xpecial landed some excellent boxes and the superior teamfighting ability allowed Team Solomid to close out the game.

The long time rivalry commenced once again sandwiched between other games with mind games starting immediately during drafting phase.  While CLG tried to avoid Nientonsoh 1v1-ing Voyboy, it ended up happening, but with Nientonsoh adequately holding his own.  Saintvicious started the game out by abusing Zac's strong low level diving potential to grab first blood top, but Doublelift and Chauster took down the bottom turret early.

Cop and Edward took advantage of pushing Link out of lane top by attempting a blue steal, but ultimately, Bigfatlp came and secured it, though denying it from Nientonsoh.  Meanwhile, Doublelift's Vayne would avoid teamfights and just farm up for that late game while CLG managed to hold their own and maintain an early tower lead.

CLG have been going back to their roots, even backdooring an inhibitor with Vladimir.

After a period of CLG holding a heavy lead in towers in the mid game, they were able to secure other objectives outside of the first baron of the game.  Split-pushing was the name of the game this time around for CLG going back to their roots with Curse Gaming showing great difficulty in coping.  On top of that, Chauster seemed much more comfortable again in the peeling role.

With a 6-item late game Vayne, Curse had trouble winning teamfights theoretically, but did manage to seize their own advantages and almost take the game as well.  Unfortunately, Curse Gaming made many slip ups and even lost their middle inhibitor tower strictly to minions.  Without being capable of making many power plays due to the waves in their lanes, CLG was able to narrowly close out a game after an intense baron fight.
