Ups and downs for the veterans continuing in Day 2

In this fourth game, Team Dignitas and Team Solomid both chose dive-heavy teams, relying on strong engages and high amounts of burst damage. With both of them coming out of a loss, Dignitas in particular with a grueling 70-minute match vs CLG, this was the time for one of these two teams to get some momentum back.

In the end, it was Dignitas who got their groove back, gaining a commanding lead with 4-0 in kills and two towers destroyed by the first 12 minutes. TSM didn't go down without a fight, however, as they kept getting global objectives such as dragon to try to even up the gold lead. However, in important fights, Reginald was not able to get the engages that his team needed and after a few brawls, Dignitas increased their advantage, which finally led to a surrender vote from TSM.

For the fifth game, it was Vulcun Techbargains going up against Velocity eSports, both picking familiar team compositions. The former used their tried and tested late game comp with Tristana and Kha'zix, while the latter had good early game pressure from Draven and Jarvan IV.

Though the rookies managed to get an early lead by zoning out mandatorycloud's Kha'Zix and getting all of the outer turrets in 10 minutes, the experienced Vulcun squad managed to stay within arm's reach during this time. Not only that, but their precise map control allowed their mid player to get back in gold via free farm and scoring a triple kill defintely helped. As late game was approachig, Velocity's team fell apart as Kha'Zix and Tristana finally reached their critical point and made quick work out of their opponents.

Coming off a long and tiring game against Dignitas, the boys at Counter Logic Gaming squared off versus a ZionSpartan-free Team Coast, who was absent due to his graduation. Replacing him was Jintae, a very familiar face in the LCS, as he subbed for Shiphtur for the entirety of the latter half of the LCS Spring Split.

Team Coast opted for a squishy, yet high-burst team, and took advantage of CLG's unfamiliarity with their new roles. Jintae as a sub worked wonders for Coast, due to the time they've already spent together, while Shiptur is slowly loosening up and playing more comfortably. On the other hand, while Nien seemed to have improved a bit, Chauster was having a difficult time as Thresh, landing one ill-advised hook after another.

After a couple of huge teamfights, which swung the game from one way to the other, it was Team Coast that had better coordination and map control, which led to team finally getting the decisive teamfight they needed to close out the match.
