4shot recieves ban for cheating

Former Noble eSports player Sam "4Shot" Mariano has recieved a one-year ESEA ban after cheating on a hijacked player's account.

Sam "4Shot" Mariano, formerly of Noble eSports, has been convicted of cheating by ESEA after using ex-teammate Chris "roa" Gretchen's account to cheat in pick-up games on the league's services in an attempt to get revenge on his former organization for their decision to cut him from the their lineup.

Additionally, Mariano used roa's team administrative privaleges to remove players from Noble eSports' roster on their ESEA page in an attempt to prevent the team from playing their league matches. However, ESEA stepped in and revoked the ban on roa's account, as well as restoring their roster in the team database and banning Mariano from their site for his misconduct.

ESEA issued the following statement on the matter:

Recently, in a response to being cut, a user accessed a former teammate’s account without permission and cheated. He also removed the players from the Noble-eSports roster in an attempt to prevent them from playing their matches.

After verifying this internally, we have restored the players to the roster, and the user who accessed the account without permission has been banned for cheating.

As a reminder, cheating in any capacity on ESEA, whether it be on an alt-account or your main account, will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

With the Premier division becoming the direct path to Pro League, we felt it was necessary to step in and make things right. Due to the high level of difficulty in proving cases of this nature, this will not necessarily be standard procedure moving forward.
