Joining DouyuTV in the tournament hosting club, HuomaoTV will be hosting a Dota2 tournament. This tournament will feature SEA teams and Chinese teams battling for a RMB150,000 ($24,000) prize pool.
From the 14th of July till the 22nd, HuomaoTV will be hosting a the Mid-Summer League, a tournament for SEA and Chinese teams not playing in The International 5. The tournament will feature a RMB150,000 ($24,000) prize pool.
Prize pool distribution:
1. 80,000 RMB ($12,800)
2. 40,000 RMB ($6400)
3. 15,000 RMB ($2400)
4. 5,000 RMB ($800)
5-8. 2,500 RMB ($400)
The tournament will be taking place in two parts, a best-of-one round robin played within two groups and a best-of-three double elimination bracket which will be played out between the top two teams from two round robin groups; the grand finals will be a best-of-five. In the event of a SEA team vs a Chinese team, the game will be played out on Perfect World servers.

Analysis on the significance of this tournament:
Although featuring quite a small prize pool, this tournament and the Douyu Cup shows that there is a growing interest and funding towards the lower tier teams in China. If this trend continues, it will be very beneficial towards the newer players in the Chinese scene, giving them opportunities and as a result train the next generation of players, making it much easier to continuously have experienced young players enter the "teir one circle" of players.
