Conference gathers eSport organizations

Korean eSports Association has invited numerous organizations in the eSport scene to a conference in South Korea to discuss the future of eSports. They will also develop possible standards and better awareness in the eSport world.

Organizations and tournament administrators from around the world will later this week gather in South Korea to discuss the eSport development and to set up goals for the future. With this they want to achieve a standard in eSports involving rules, games and more. They also strive for building up better awareness and recognition in the eSport world.

The hosts of this conference are Korea eSports Association, more known as KeSPA, and the Korea Game Development and Promotion Institute (KGDI). Invited to this conference are several representants from authorities around the world such as game developers, eSports organizations, tournament administrators and professional gaming teams. Teams such as SK Telecom T1, Samsung Khan and other Korean progaming teams will be there, plus teams representing the organization G7 such as 4Kings, SK Gaming and Meet Your Makers.

Tournament and event organizations that will be present are ESWC, ESL, GGL, KODE5, WCG, WSVG and more. Hopefully they will unite and create good standards for the events as well as having better communications between so the tournaments won't overlap. An interesting note is that the CPL are not attending, and are said to have been invited but said no. The organization NGL are not on the list either, but considering freaks4u are the owners of Mousesports they will still be there, just not officially.
