DreamHack Rules & Maps

GosuGamers is hosting the official WarCraft III tournament at DreamHack Summer 2006. Rules and maps for the tournament are as follows.



You will be able to register for the tournament once you come to DreamHack. It will have a password, which you will have to retrieve from the Game Crew (near the shower area).

General information


Tournament start: Sunday June 18, 12:00 CET
Channel: #dreamhack.wc3
Gateway: Northrend
Patch: 1.20
Speed: Fastest
Format: Double Elimination
Winner Bracket is played best of three (3)
Loser Bracket Semi Final and Final are played best of three (3)
Grand Final is played best of five (5) with Winner Bracket player leading 1-0.

Maps


Round 1: Twisted Meadows
Round 2: Turtle Rock
Round 3: Gnoll Wood
Round 4: Lost Temple (ROC version)
Round 5: Echo Isles
Round 6: Maelstrom 2.4
Round 7: Secret Valley

If the rounds were to be more than seven (7), maps will loop to Twisted Meadows, Turtle Rock etc. Loser Bracket has the same maps, Loser Bracket Round 1 starting at Turtle Rock.
When matches are best of three and five, the loser of the last game will choose the next map. The same map can not be played more than once.

Disconnects, walkovers, observers


If any of the matches should be shoutcasted or anything similar it is forbidden for the players in the match to listen.

Observers are allowed if both players accept. A DreamHack Game Crew person has the right to observe any match he wants.

A walkover will be handed out after 30 minutes of abscence.

If a disconnect occurs withing two minutes after the start of the game the match will be replayed.

If a disconnect occurs after two minutes in the game both players can agree to restart the match. If any of the players claims he has a huge advantage and was about to win a DreamHack Game Crew member will view the replay and make his decision.

The administrator's decision is absolute and cannot be overruled.

Exceptions


Should the players have difficulty in playing on the Northrend server, they are allowed to play on a different server (Kalimdor, Lordaeron or Azeroth). The administrator must be informed of this in time.
