Ilintar of World Game Tour just announced a new update for the launcher which would fix the recent bugs while playing WGTour.
Since the start of the new season of WGTour.com, using the PenguinPlug based launcher, some initial "child bugs" occured. Crashing Brood War, bad game reporting and other issuses arised.
Ilintar, key programmer at WGTour, has intentions "to make not only a launcher for WGTour, but also an antihack system to fill the void in absence of BWScanner, for all those people wishing for a hack-free gaming environment outside the protected realm of PGTour." Ilintar seems to be living up to his goal so far as the launcher is constantly being updated to remove each and every single bug. "This new update should prevent the launcher server hangups"
Today's update corrected a bug in the server of the launcher and does not require a new update of the launcher itself for the players.
"The launcher server has been patched yet again. This new update should prevent the launcher server hangups which have been happening for the past 2 days, hopefully allowing you to play normally without having to deal with manual reports for half a day."
