The reason could be that the beta account is temporary, while the other is perpetual - Both are limited, although the Dota 2 account is in much higher demand.

If someone was planning to play both games in the future, and believes that Dota 2 keys will soon be easy to be found (or the person has means to require a new), then it's not a completely hopeless trade..

Example could be a highskilled/pro player who needs a HoN account to participate in tournaments with some friends, but already has more DotA 2 access than he needs..

You're only allowed to play Dota 2 on 1 computer.

Only way to trade is with a fresh key.
