Most of these people can't afford HoN. That is why S2 games partnered with Garena. How do they expect to afford Dota 2, or the relatively high system requirements to play Dota 2?

They've been getting something for nothing the last year, and now suddenly they are angry? The sense of entitlement makes me vomit.

#1 This is one of the reasons I don't expect DotA 2 to be too widespread in this region. The cost of games upon retail are simply too high for the average SEA gamer. A person who lives a simple life in Malaysia would only pay about $7-10 for his 3 meals a day, so games priced at $60-ish are a major investment.

Why do you think F2P games like MapleStory, Dragon Nest and cracked games like WC3 DotA and Counter Strike are so popular over here?

the game is quite good actually. Just started playing 4 days ago.
I got tempted by the video HON Hero Spotlight by Nigma and MsPudding at Youtube. Now I play both DotA and HON.
What I really like about HON is the reconnecting system and of course cause it's free now. However, the free/basic account has disadvantage since the heroes are limited to only 15 heroes every week. So I guess it's cool.

I'm not sure about all the rage and stuff.
What I do know is I love playing HON and DotA.
When somebody shares, everybody wins.

#3 Alot of people here in PH play F2P games like ragnarok , dragonnest etc . and they play like crazy lmao . They play about 12 hours a day and a substitute player will take over and play that same account while the first person go home to rest Well they spend alot of money in buying gaming cards tho
Godspeed.

LoL partnered with Garena and have been hugely successful over there, the events hosted are amazing. Now HoN have also partnered with them, it's understandable but it shows how little independence S2 have, most things they are doing with HoN is taken/initiated by rivals.

However, visually I do really like HoN and the fact it's a lot more fast paced makes it a lot more entertaining to watch.

DotA 2 is quite similar to HoN.
But,
HoN is NOT SIMILAR to DotA.

**Never play HoN before, just stand beside & watch friend play it. Seem cool but i didn't have the GUT to play.

#17 No it's not. It so far from DotA.

Like arguing that Cs:CZ and Cs:S are the same Cs 1.6 and that Cs 1.3 is the same as CS:CZ
