GGSL: Strelok defeats Skew in Group F

[s]event_406[/s]

Today's match in GGSL featured Skew and Strelok - a Terran mirror tale on Blitz X and Tau Cross. A 2-0 victory for Strelok surely increased his chances of qualifying.

Our very own StarLeague is back with another super match. The two Terran dominants are two of the » top 10 ranked Terrans in our database, but the match today was very one-sided, as Strelok could win with a clear 2-0 win.

- The games were very easy for me, since Terran mirror may be my best matchup and Skew's weakest, Strelok tells GosuGamers after winning.
He says that he simply has a better understanding of the Terran mirror matchup, not because of having higher skills.

- In the first game we both started with fast expansions and he made a couple of bad drops, so I had the advantage because of that, he says. The first game was played on Blitz X, and lasted for 15 minutes.

The second game ended very sudden, as Strelok went for an expansion while Skew rushed with mass SCV's. Skew was however unable to send any Marines to aid his brave SCV's because of a Supply Depot block by Strelok. The match ended after three minutes and 40 seconds.

Further on, Strelok says that he think he will advance from the group stage, not only because of he thinks Bouncer will forfeit his last game - but also because he has a strong Terran versus Zerg.

However, the group may end up in a tiebreaker should Bouncer forfeit the rest of his games. More information on this group and the whole tiebreaker system as the event follows.
