Two days ago South East Asia lead the way with their announcement of the HoN Tour festivities reaching the entire SEA region, today S2 Games is announcing their second season of the, now global, league with details about the schedule, prize pool and location of the Offline Finals.
HoN Tour Season 1 was a great success for Heroes of Newerth and S2 Games, if you hide some flaws in the opening weekend and the Grand Finals event in the Hardwood Suite of Las Vegas, Nevada. Still the league brought a stable scene, many interesting battles between the top teams from North America, Europe and Australia - so now the fun gets a second season.
Today, after months of waiting time, S2 Games released the first batch of information about the second installment of the HoN Tour spectacular. As the announcement of South East Asia two days ago already confirmed was, that HoN Tour Season 2 will in fact be a global affair with a huge international Grand Final in the end. S2 Games is now giving away more about that, as the Grand Finals will be hosted in the South East Asian region with the best teams from all across the world coming together for the ultimate prize in HoN - the World Championship. Aside from that a total prize pool has been announced for both the whole HoN Tour global affair, as well as the Grand Final event. $150,000 USD will be at stack when the best teams from all across the globe travel to South East Asia to the International Grand Finals, bringing the whole HoN Tour to a crashing total of $360,000 USD that will be paid to the best teams from NA/EU, SEA, CIS and Latin America.

As far as the HoN Tour in NA/EU is concerned, the general structure with four divisions is most likely going to make a return, as well as the Qualifiers that will be held again in the following days. With today's announcement the first dates appeared as well. The signup for the qualification event is starting this Friday July 12th at 11 PM CEST (5 PM EDT) over at hontour.com.
The actual action in the qualifiers will start two weeks after that date - on Saturday, July 27th and will last till August 8th. Then we know once again which teams have made it all the way to the highest division of HoN Tour and which promising teams might for in order to compete for the HoN Tour title.
The real action starts on August 10th with the first cycle of HoN Tour Season 2 in North America and Europe kicking off.
This is only the first batch of information that S2 Games and their partners of Axes05 and Garena will release, as more details and open questions will most likely be answered with the second announcement on Friday, July 12th.
