Two days after Garena HoN released a teasing picture of a $60,000 USD prize pool figure more details of that upcoming mega event have been released.
Just a few days after Garena HoN celebrated the milestone achievement of 100,000 concurrent, another big announcement was given today. A milestone for international Heroes of Newerth competition.
After the regions in Heroes of Newerth got split up into EU/NA, Latin America, SEA and CIS only one tournament combined all of those teams into an epic clash - some sort of world championship. That event usually takes place twice a year as part of the DreamHack festivities, but now the HoN calendar gained another global attraction with the "Asian DreamHon" - the Garena Star League 2013.
The special attraction of this event is the international factor. Not only regional teams from Thailand are set to compete, but also standouts from Southeast Asia, CIS and the NA/EU region are allowed to battle for the enormous prize pool of $60,000 USD.
Still the SEA team, in particular the Thailand teams will have a slight advantage, as the tournament is played on their home soil. The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Bangkok, Thailand will be the host for the tournament. From March 30th to 31st that convention centre will be an outpost for Newerth, as the best teams in the world battle for the Garena Star League Championship.
