Clan Milk returns to the Competitve Scene
Posted by Seb "Shinkz" Torr 3 months ago

Clan Milk has announced that they will officially be returning to the competitive scene. Over the past few weeks Sam "Milkfat" Braithwaite has put together a team with players of whom may not be the best competitive players out there, but a team he feels will be able to be just that, a team.
The team does feature some high skilled players, whether it be some older known players such as Michael 'Cakes' Nakama and Dexter 'Pokedex' Sung, or some newer players to the scene such as Matthew "Lalond" Okimoto and
Sam "Milkfat" Braithwaite Commented on the situation:
“
It’s not just about having the best players out there, but it’s more important to have a team that meshes well together and personalities click.”
Sam "Milkfat" Braithwaite
Matthew "Lalond" Okimoto
Michael 'Cakes' Nakama
Dexter 'Pokedex' Sung
MoiravusAside from the core five players mentioned above, Clan Milk has stated that they are looking for one more player to sound out their roster. With exciting times in the 'Heroes of Newerth' scene it will be very interesting to see whether or not this new team will be able to find a place near the top of it.

"With exciting times in the 'Heroes of Newerth' scene" .... joking? The scene is unfortunatly, but without a doubt, dying. Mostly because Dota2 has ripped apart or taken away pretty much all good teams almost, leading to a scene with fewer teams with lower standards. Also the monopoly that honcast seems to have is ruining the community, an esport-game depends alot on its public figures and what they say. And tbh, honcast, with its doubtful knowledge and cocky attitude, is just dragging HoN down. They cant be compared to the people in for example Dota or SC2 communities. It's a shame that it has come to this, but S2 failed to balance the game to create a fun gamestyle. It was going well until they decided that heroes with great tank capabilities and aoe farming abilities should be implemented constantly, making tactics with faceroll tank+healer combo become the go-to strategy for the lower tier teams. Easy to play, boring to watch ---> Mediocre players being able to beat the best teams--->Pro players leaving.
USA famous with HON and yet dota 2 still in beta..
@ #1 When I’m talking about how exciting the things are in the scene I am referring to the fact that most of the ‘top’ teams can beat one another.
Asway?
@ #5 3? Dotards like you don't seem to know maths these days :D
Nice to see CakeS and `pokedex back in HoN. GL to them. Haters gonna hate.
Leave HoN alone...Sigh..
Best of luck to clan Milk! #1 The top-scene in HoN might not be as strong as it was a few months ago, but there are still quite some skilled players and teams left. Many of the current top-teams/players are waiting for the HoNtour. HoNtour is a tournament that will be bigger than any Dota 2/european-DotA tournament has ever been apart from The International 2011 (which only featured fresh teams in a back-then unbalanced game).
Hi guise! I'm from dota and I post on HoN news cause I'm jelly. anyways, I'm wondering who Milkfat will choose for his bench, there are a few possibilities he has been looking at but don't forget if you want to try out you can too! :]
frickin?
#7 Since i'm a dotard, as you may call it, name me teams that you would consider 'top' except for ur fray and tdm, who literally shit on all the other teams.
Top =/= Best, PORT is a great team as are JAH, ipel is upcoming and incl are quite strong, TiG and Fntc are also top teams. edit* also look for Clan Milk to be entering the top team list once we start getting into tourney's. Lets talk about dota teams instead, 4 strong teams. most semi average but the sam 4 are winning every toueny? Does that mean that you only have 4 top teams? no of course not its DotA you have lots of teams. What's your excuse then?
@15: In DotA2 every team from top 15 has chances to win next big tourney. Any team from top10 has some notable achievements in tournaments. And remember, there were very little tournaments yet, and DotA2 is still in beta. DotA1 had many more great teams, because of asian teams, which still aren't in D2.
Fight, fight for your right!
@16 Hon started off being a DotA Clone. so people who wanted to be good at it came from DotA. The DotA purists stayed with dota as did many many many many of the teams did not make the transition. These DotA teams and players of the genre then proceeded to win in HoN tourney's because of their experience from several years. the HoN community is young especially in its stage of the game as well as being stomped for years by DotA players who played HoN since beta. Dota2 comes along and all the old DotA players jump ship. leaving HoN with HoN players. DotA players then make fun of HoN for not having a large amount of teams because they were there winning and stomping the little guys. NOW that DotA2 fanboys can go play their own game. Many of the HoN teams can now get their shot at the spotlight. As it was in the past. the same 10-15 teams last year were in every tournament. But many disbanded and changed and re-formed. It is now a new year and new tournament season, and I am looking forward to making a new splash on the scene with Clan Milk.
good for you sam :D
welcome back pokedex
#12 Nvm was thinking about T7H for some reason :)
No Tko to warm the bench ? Ok, I'm done.
@23 Tko is possibly the 6th i've been told :] but they are leaving it open atm
