Friday's 'Gravekeeper' brings the zombie apocalypse to Newerth

Posted by Alex "Gemmanite" Bianchi 4 months ago
A new Hero Spotlight gives us a first look at the skills of Gravekeeper, a corpse-commanding Intelligence hero who comes out this Friday.

Corpse Toss: Stuns target for 1 second and deals magic damage. Uses charges and has no cooldown between use.

Corpse Explosion: Deals magic damage per corpse exploded in targeted area.

Defiling Touch: Passive attack modifier that slows movement speed and deals bonus damage. Requires a corpse to use.

Zombie Apocalypse: Summons a large horde of uncontrollable zombies. About half explode, dealing AoE damage, and the other half auto-acquire and melee nearby enemies.

Gravekeeper looks like a very cool hero with an emphasis on using corpses as a resource - even more so than Balphagore. He appears to be a capable solo-mid, with a slowing attack modifier and creep-nuking ability that will be a nightmare for any melee hero to deal with.

His ultimate gets maximum points for style, but also serves as an effective way to temporarily creep block an enemy, cause mass confusion in a large fight, and generate a large number of corpses to then pick up and/or detonate.

Get your shotgun and chainsaw ready - Gravekeeper and his horde of undead come to HoN this Friday.

Semi undying+pitlord innovation... Sad that I'm the first to post here, considering this bit of news has been out for quite some time. Gotta say, finally a non-op hero tho... After Artesia, Monarch, Midas, Gemini, Shadowblade... was getting to be like S2 ftw!!
