Online Kingdom has fallen

A forum post at the official Heroes of Newerth board by ex-employee Joakim "Akke" Akterhall today brought news, that the multi-gaming organization ONLINE-KINGDOM has dissolved with all its teams and players turning homeless overnight.

After suspicion about the misfortune emerged yesterday already, when the official website online-kingdom.org turned unavailable, followers of competitive gaming now recieved a prompt clarification of what occurred.

Reason for the dissolve marks a new job-assignment of the group's managing director, which would leave him without sufficient time to look after his duties. In response, the group's CEO announced to lay down his assignments as well.

The organization housed teams in the disciplines DotA, HoN, Dota 2, QuakeLive, Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike Female, who hit the headlines of eSports on a regular basis throughout the years.

The OK DotA department appeared for the first time in March 2009 and since then left and entered the competitive circuit with a variety of different lineups. The team has seen it's best times during 2011 where a fourth place in FARM4FAME 3 was achieved and 25,000$ were won at The International, before two core players Clinton 'Fear' Loomis and Pelle 'Pajkatt' Olsson Lille left to form EG.

The affair is overshadowed by a mismanagement incident, that affected the Heroes of Newerth team this weekend and endangered their attendance at the upcoming DreamHack Winter. The players Marc 'Mag1X' Müller, Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall, Remigiusz 'Overpow' Pusch and Kai 'H4nni' Hanbuckers will be present in Jönköping nontheless, even though the OK-tag will not appear on a screen again.
