PapaDrayich Publishes Blog About TSoG's Trip to China

Posted by Jeffrey "ravenwolf" Rossi 1 year ago
Hot off the heels of their exciting trip to China compliments of DreamHack, TSoG's PapaDrayich felt it would be nice to share the experience with his fans.

As a result, a rather detailed and hilarious "play-by-play" blog about his team's adventures in China as part of the DYA expo has been published and he was really excited to share this unique experience with his fans and the rest of the gaming community.

Highlights include tales of a drunken Tobi giving Drayich's wife a special shoutcast about their drunken exploits, Drayich's cultural awakening, and of course LOTS of pictures.

If you wanted to get a glimpse of PapaDrayich beyond his exceptional Heroes of Newerth play, you simply must read this blog. It gives a glimpse of the humanity behind the screen name and it also gives the outside world a rare glimpse into the cultures and traditions of the Chinese people.

So what are you waiting for? The blog is linked below with an additional link to the Digital Youth Awards that made all this possible. Drayich wanted to make sure that they were recognized for their hard work and the blog will give you a lots of great laughs, guaranteed!

everyone who wasnt ownage in dota left for hon cause hon is way easier and the average skill in hon is much lower than in dota.

thats why guys like drayich or loda moved to hon

Monk, definently right. But thats not what this is about. This is about something else. But the envy is always welcome too. :)

I dont mind your opinions about me or about HoN. But let this be about the Digital Youth Award which is something amazing that has started out. This could be something for gaming and future events.

For you haters; Ive said this 200 times before, and i say it again. The reason i will ever be in any competetive team is because of my teamskills, my individual skill is hopefully the lowest everywhere i go. Still i will be able to compete with the best teams, since this game is not only about individual skill.

About accomplishments in DotA, when it comes to Online i pretty much participated and won every tournament there ever was. I cant really feel like im one "of the lousy dotaplayers getting into hon" in that matter. As for other players i feel the same. H4nn1 was for example one of the few dotaplayers i really enjoyed watching. Loda, Xoy, these players are really good.

There is so much hate between the scenes still, and its stupid. The only thing your creating is bad atmosphere. And people like you Monk are the reason why gaming still seems to be a unserious thing to do. Your simply only writing in this thread to spread your bad/booring/notneeded comments. You have no goal to achieve anything postive with commenting, and perhaps thats about you and your lifevision, still its wierd that you put down energy on it.

I put energy on it too, but my wish is to get a nice enviorment for gamers, wether its dota or hon, i really dont care.

And again, this blogthing is about the digital youth awards. Which is a BRILLIANT organisation that really deserve all the credit.

Good Job, Drayich. I like what you're doing for the gaming comunity. If all players were more like you, e-sports would gain some true recognition IRL, too bad that most of the gamers now are retarded teenagers, who sully the name of a gamer. PapaDray is a good example that adult gamers aren't all nerds or retards, but some of them are decent people.

Oh and how stupid can someone be to say that the skill level required in one game is lower than in another game, without even having played both games. Seriously, some people should... get laid or something, because there's too much rage built up in their sacks.

Haters will hate, Players will play, and DYA will pwn.
Too bad some people can't see the bigger picture. Dray and DYA keep it up! <3

Meh, #4 only players from that list that are worth mentioning are h4nn1 and levent-, maybe kebap. Mania is still an active member of MYM.dota as far as I know.

Other are pretty much secondary players, with no achievements or just overrated.

Drayich, dont listen to the haters. Your awesome. They have no idea what they are talking about. There are obviously alot of very very good Dota players that play HoN and noone can argue against everything youve done/tried to do for the community, not only in any specific game but for gaming in general.

@#15 it`s not about what Drayich has done or is doing right now for the community but about most of the user`s inability to comprehend a plain and simple message. Check out his original message than check some of the replies here (including the ret...Monk`s reply)...can you see any connection?...what has Loda,Kebap and anyone else have to do with what Drayich was trying to communicate through his blog?(linked and articled back here)...there isn`t any!...i`m betting my monthly paycheck that 99.9% of the dota vs hon trolls here are so damn noobs that even my 9 y.o. cousin can beat the crap out of them...yet they still can notice the HUGE difference of skill between a dota player and a "FROM START NOOB" hon player...you guys are without chance...just hope that someday the Apocalypse will come and be a little bit more picky ....and ban the good guys and pick the trolly ones...get a life...a beer...a female hooker (no normal gal would look at you)...have some fun...then use the knife/pistol/hammer and see the wonders metal/wood does while it impacts your head with an average speed of 700 metres per second. Cheers

Good read Drayich.
Looking forward to DH winter where DYA will be sending a US and Singapore team (may be China as well, not sure) to Sweden to compete. It's great to see DYA promoting gaming as a whole in this way.

#19 blewdigejewn 1 year ago
#17 i think there will be both a team from china and a team from singapore, aswell as some other countries.

#18 there was no tournament, only games for the show if you will. The tournament will be played @ Dreamhack 2010 winter.

cheers

I love your attitude Papadrayich, and what you are doing for the community (wheter they realise it or not) is amazing. You should particiapte in some cloning study and save the world of e-sports ;)

You know this already... there are always gonna be haters (look at any good thing happening) and that's never gonna change. But know that for every hater writing here there are thousands of players appreciating you.

I had so much fun reading that blog entry, I lived in Shanghai for 7 months and I think I can imagine what you were thinking and experiencing. Can´t stop laughing on the inside.

The DYA is great.

drayich is the team youre playing with the same people as in fc way back in dota? i can only remember hyddae.

besides that great post and i enjoyed reading the blog.

and also props to you for saying what needs to be said about the attitude which unfortunately too many hon players have. there was always quite a lot of flaming going on in dota as well, but in hon this constant harassment thats going on in public games makes me wanna abandon the game altogether, i dont know if its the huge emphasis on stats but theres so much flaming in every single game which makes it impossible to enjoy playing.

21, Kreumel. I remember you. The team is Away and MistrAwesome Hyddae and Xoynoznu. Away Hyddae and MistrAwesome was a part of FC back when we were playing.

But i still cant seem to remember what MistrAwesome was nicking back then. Perhaps "Turu"
Anyways thanks for your comment!
