Statement by Support:

As it is my first time visiting DreamHack, I got no experience or anything to compare it to or look back at. I think the event will be awesome and DreamHack will be huge and exciting. I am mostly looking forward to compete with the best of the best, while our goal is going to have a blast and make sure to end up in the Top 4.

In terms of teams I want to play badly. I'm looking forward to see how we'll match up vs. sG.eu. In terms of possible winners of this event I think it will be super interesting what the non-NA/EU teams bring to the table, but in the end it has to be Stay Green. Their dedication is unrivaled and they are going to take home the title.

Statement by Zergo`:

DreamHack is going to be awesome, the atmosphere is amazing - at least the times I visited the event it was. I never played in any tournament there, but I am sure that will even enhance the experience and atmosphere for mystelf. I also look forward to meet all the pro players and being in a position to compete with the best teams from all across the world.

For my team, I think we will do good, hopefully we can get some games of the Top 3 teams, or at least bring them in trouble on our way through the group stage. But of course we go into the event with the goal and the mindset of winning it all.

As I mentioned above, I am really pumped to play the Top 3 teams sG, sG.eu and coL since they are simply the best teams right now. That is the test for us as a team and it's going to be fun to see how we match up against them.

Ultimately I still think that sG is going to reign surpreme as they have proven themselves against the toughest competition already and they are unbeaten in single matches for months now. They are for sure the favorite and the team that is looking the strongest right now!?

Statement by Pewe:

Expectations for this DreamHack are pretty usual I would say. I hope it will be awesome and I want to have a lot of fun meeting the pros and also getting to know my own team a little bit better. My personal goal for the event is a little bit flexible, depending on how much time and effort we use for the preparation. Honestly I would say we might be amongst the Top 3 and so that is my goal.

When I think about all the other seven teams that will come to DreamHack, I am excited to play the SEA and CIS teams, simply because I have never played against them. It will be fun to see how they perform and how we can play against them.

In the end sG will win the event, just because they have been on quite a streak lately. They have won every single tournament they attended in the past couple of months - but I somehow hope that there is someone in Sweden that can beat them.?

Statement by Xibbe:

This is gonna be my first LAN event as a player and just my second overall, and I must say I cant wait to play. Meeting all the competitors face to face and delivering big plays, I think its gonna be a blast.

Perhaps we wont play on the big stage given we play with a ringer (me) and some of us lack experience, but I believe, with some luck, we'll compete for third place. Since im a player proud of my mechanics, im looking forward to play against the asian teams, whom I've heard are crazy individual players. Would love to see how I compare.

Coming out of this event I'd expect SG (the original) to come out on top, but I hope for a different outcome. Time someone else won a big title.

Statement by VnSensation:

I expect an awesome time at DreamHack. I can finally hang out with all the pro players and meet them offline - I really want to have an awesome time. That is also the main goal for me to be honest, having a great time with my teammates, eventhough I really want to finish first in the tournament as well.

As opponents I like sG, ex-tdM and compLexity Gaming, I would love to play them more than once if possible. Stay Green is probably going to win the event after all, they are looking awefully strong right now - but I would still expect us to win. :)?

Team Breakdown

A big uproar and wave of disbelieve circulated through the HoN scene on the final day of the Swedish Pride tournament. Not only did Internet Gangsters lose to Team Excellence in the Quarterfinals already, but also the march of Vietnamese Dream Team through the entire event raised some eye brows. The team starting under the name of AFK Milking Cows has been in and out of the HoN Tour Diamond Division in the first HoN Tour season, rotating their lineup a lot.

Still VnSensation and Pewe` were constant figures for the team that has been on the verge of greatness for quite some time, but always fell through in clutch moments or against mightier opponents. Now it is their time to shine and prove themselves on the big stage of DreamHack Summer 2013 in front of a live audience and against the best teams gathered from all across the world.

A lot is in question for the squad, starting with the changed environment for the successful online team. Now they have to show up offline, sit in front of a roaring, cheering crowd with background noise left and right. Communication might be more difficult, nerves might play a role and the stuff that seems easy and routine online might turn out to be more difficult offline. All five players debut in a LAN event a the question is how they are going to cope with these circumstances.

Other than that the foundation of the team is more than solid with strong individual players and unconventional picks measured by the standards of the western region. Pickups like Swiftblade, Chipper and the amazing play by Support on Empath is putting their opponents in unexpected and unusual situations, dealing with relatively "funky" heroes. The ability to throw some curveballs and the youth of the players and their hunger to prove themselves against all odds are the thriving factors that might make the debut of Vietnamese Dream Team at DHS successful - despite being forced to replace FibEli3 with Xibbe just a couple of days before the event.

Can they overcome the nerves and adapt to the LAN settings with ease, or will this just turn out to be a learning experience for the young players?

Special thanks to the squad of vdT for their cooperation and their quick response time with the statements, pictures and additional information.
