Amateur joins Pro Team?

mumyung.jpgNow it's official that the pro gaming team SK Telecom (SKT1) will bring in two new players. These new additions aren't that very breath-taking, like say Korea Nal_rA's switch to KTF (the huge sum of money), or United States Rekrul's arrival to Korea (with him being a foreigner).

Korea Mumyung is a Zerg player, coming from Team Plus. He has qualified for StarLeague a bunch of times, but it hasn't gone that well. I found that a year ago he won versus ChoJJa in a Team League fight. His name means anonymous in Korean, but after this recruit, I believe he will have to change his name.

terato.jpgThe other player is Korea Terato, a Protoss player originally from Pirates of Space (P.O.S). Terato was probably one of the best protoss amateur players in Korea, but now when he's a pro gamer, he'll have a hard time competing against other great Protoss players. He has been a semi-pro for about a year and a half, what can he accomplish now when he's in it for full time?

Korea Boxer is known for sniffing up potential great players, like Korea kOs and Korea iloveoov to mention two. Terato has a great potential in becoming something great, and Mumyung might get just the right training in this team. Watch out for these two new players. SK Telecom now consists of:

  • iloveoov
  • kOs
  • SlayerS_BoxeR
  • IntoTheRainbow
  • ZergLee
  • Kingdom
  • MumYung
  • Terato
