The grudge match continues: Tempo Storm defeats Cloud 9 Maelstrom at Titan Arena 4

Tempo Storm wins 3-1 in the best of 5 series and still thinks they could of performed better. Cloud 9 Maelstrom accepts defeat while still citing unfortunate connection issues.

While we were covering Titan Arena 4, we predicted 3 different scenarios of how it would end. The most common scenario happened, and viewers got to enjoy our favorite NA heroes grudge match all over again. The games were tight, and after Cloud 9 Maelstrom won the first game (to a pretty clear throw by Tempo Storm) the feeling of shifting momentum was in the air. We learned that Kerrigan and Rehgar alone can't kill a core, and that Cloud 9 Maelstrom knows how to capitalize on a mistake.

This momentum was short lived though. Cloud 9 Maelstrom was poised to win another game on Sky Temple when their newest member, Fan, was caught out of position for the briefest of moments. Luckily caster Schamtoo switched the audio feed to the Tempo Storm's communication's before the fight, and the audience got to hear a brief insight on the shot calling style of Tempo Storm when they smell blood in the water.

It was this moment that Cloud 9 Maelstrom lost momentum and never reclaimed it. Fan name was called, he was killed and it set in motion a stunningly close end that gave Tempo Storm they win they needed to start snowballing. Later in the series, Arthelon's Azmodan rose to new levels of scary, carrying Tempo to another victory on Garden of Terror. It was around this time that some unfortunate connection issues started to plague Cloud 9 Maelstrom. This combined with Tempo Storm hitting their usual stride finished the set 3-1.

And what does the Team Captain of Tempo Storm have to say after convincingly winning a best of 5 set? Well, apparently the win wasn't convincing enough. It's hard to understand how Dreadnaught could be so hard on him self, but I suppose when you are leading the most winning team in NA, a loss of any sort isn't acceptable.

Titan Arena 4 was a surprisingly stacked tournament that had great games throughout. I highly suggest watching the games your self, as Vods are becoming quickly available at SchAmToo's YouTube channel
