We’re about halfway through the second phase of HGC Open Division and as only eight teams will advance to the playoffs every single cup is vital.
Yesterday about 20 teams faced off in our best-of-three bracket to determined the winner for the third North American Open Division Cup.
Imported Support joined this phase of the Open Division in the second cup and as they reached second place then, they're definitely on the hunt to take the win tonight. They'll be facing against Flame is Lame in tonights semi-finals. Flame is Lame sits at fifth place in the standings and until this cup has not made it passed the quarterfinals.
It seems as though Hold it Down has replaced McIntyre with Soy to make Held it Down (big difference). Despite only changing one player, the team has registered anew, meaning they will lose all previous points from Hold it Down. With this and Players Unknown not participating, the first and second place spots in the standings are up for grabs.
Tonight, Held it Down will face against Donkeys R Us in a rematch from the previous cup semi-finals. In that second cup Held it Down came out on top 2-0 and went on to win the entire cup tournament. Donkeys R Us placed third in that cup and are now third in the overall standings, but with no participation from Players Unknown and Hold it Down resetting their points, in just about every scenario Donkeys R Us will end at the top of the standings after tonights cup.
