There is great news for Heroes fans, as Blizzard have announced a bonus competition set to run from Wednesday 26th July until Thursday 27th July, as a special treat for the Open Division faithful. Complications around a previous iteration of an event on the NA side of things has prompted this move, but we doubt fans or players will be complaining about an extra helping of Heroes fun!
The format will be identical to other online cups, with the event played over two days, and initially beginning at 1800PDT. Points, prize pool and all the other particulars will be as per usual, and the Special Open Division Cup will also have special casting from Thomas ‘Khaldor’ Kilian, as a treat for the fans tuning in. We've listed details for you below, to ensure you don't miss a second of the action.
Blizzard Special Open Division Cup:
- Start time: 18:00 PDT / 21:00 EDT
- Tournament dates: Wednesday 26th July and Thursday 27th July
- Prizepool: $1,000
- Format: Identical to other Online Cups. Played over 2 days with the finals on the second day
- Standing points: Same as a normal online cup
