As the seven weeks of European Open Division have completed, the top 16 teams will now play for one of the two spots in The Crucible, May 27th-28th. There, they will to play against the lowest two teams in the HGC Premier League for the chance at taking their spot.
Team Zealot will enter the playoffs an obvious favorite as they lead in the standings after taking a dominating four Open Division Cup wins. However, some of their opponents in the bracket have certainly given them a run for their money throughout the season. Team MAA, Leftovers, 4K MMR and Team Gangang are all teams to keep an eye on as they’ve showed and impressive performance as of late.
All games up until the semifinals will be best of three, while the semifinals and finals will be best of five matches. While the top two teams will advance to The Crucible, the overall winner of the playoffs will get to choose which of the bottom two HGC Premier League teams they will face.
