Remember this Throwback Thursday?
Before Valeera was released, Blizzard decided to feel nostalgic over Rehgar, the shaman with obvious ties to Valeera.
Obvious reveal right? With this in mind, maybe it's reasonable to link this most recent nostalgic post (also posted on a Thursday) might be leading up to another Heroes of the Storm reveal.
This time on Blizzard's Facebook page:
A man can dream, right? Although it's not officially on a Heroes related account, you have to imagine that Blizzard is very aware of what might happen when they decided to remind their millions of fans about a retro-game that has already been asked for and hinted at to appear in Heroes of the Storm.
Why else would Blizzard post this?
When it comes to Blizzard's retro IP's, the only place for them is Heroes of the Storm. The Lost Vikings only exist in our 2017 collective consciousness because of their inclusion in Heroes. The same can be said for Blackthorne and Rock N' Roll Racing.
Hell, The Lost Vikings even have their own T-shirt now! Revitalizing retro IP's must be on the agenda and I think a FaceBook post mentioning Rock N' Roll racing is where that starts. Back to the Valeera reveal-- remember when Blizzard just so happened to post about the original Diablo Rogue?
Looks like Blizzard's Facebook has some precendent for teaser relevancy.
They said it themselves
Sure, saying that Rock N' Roll racing is coming to the Nexus sounds like a pipe-dream, but it isn't actually that far-fetched. In this interview by BlizzPlanet's Mark Loftus, Dustin Browder (previous Game Director for Heroes of the Storm) actually confirms the teams excitement about including a retro character, a Rock n' Roll racing character being one of them:
"Mark Loftus: What is the likelihood that your next heroes might be based on Lost Vikings, Blackthorne or Rock’ N Roll Racing heroes and villains?
Dustin Browder: Well, we’re working really hard on it. I don’t know when those guys are coming, but we’ve heard that many many times. It’s something that we’re really passionate about and excited to work on."
Granted, this was two years ago. We have seen The Lost Vikings released obviously so perhaps a Rock N' Roll racer is on the horizon?

I have personal proof that a design for Snake Sanders exists somewhere within Blizzard
Yep. As bombastic as it sounds I have personally spoken with Dustin Browder and grilled him on Rock N' Roll racing entering the Nexus. By grilled, it was more like "politely asked" but the information is still solid:
"Dustin even admitted having a little design for the Rock N' Roll racing character, Snake Sanders sitting around somewhere in a note. It included details like Snake Sanders never speaking, instead of having the signature announcer speak in his place. With a laugh, he assured that nothing is being worked on at the moment."
Sure, he said it wasn't being worked on, but it's there! The design exists!
When Dustin wants a hero...

And we all know what happened to Alarak-- our favorite grumpy high lord is now in the game! Mind you, this Alarak call out happened way back in 2015, so who knows how long these heroes have been on the mysterious production schedule for Heroes.
