Sweeping Tassadar changes, big Rexxar buffs and, of course, Valeera entering the Nexus are the biggest details of the latest PTR patch notes.
Valeera is the real deal when it comes to recreating the Rogue experience from World of Warcraft. With 6 different basic abilities in total, 3 when in stealth and 3 when out of stealth, the gank-centric style of play best known for terrorizing unsuspecting players just trying to level-up their characters is in full swing in the Nexus.
When in Stealth, Valeera has three options. Deal direct damage with Ambush, stun the target with Cheap Shot, or silence and apply a DoT with Garrote. Now out of stealth, she can build up combo points with either Sinister Strike or Blade flurry, ending with a 3 point Eviscerate for max damage.
The Reworks
Valeera hype aside, Tassadar is essentially a completely new hero. All of his essential talents have been made baseline (Yep, including Leeching Plasma and Dimensional Warp speed) and even his basic attack has been re-vamped:
- Basic Attack
- Damage reduced from 69 to 10
- Attack speed increased by 400%
- Added Functionality:
- Your basic attacks are channeled and slow the target’s Movement Speed by 20%
- Your basic attacks are channeled and slow the target’s Movement Speed by 20%
Big Archon buffs, and huge changes, in general, look to make Tassadar more of a hybrid support and less of a shield battery. The damage and inherent slow with auto attacks are exciting abilities fitting of a High Templar.
Rexxar has also had some big talent changes, including one that gives him and Rexxar 10 armor once completing their regeneration globe quest and this surprising change to his stylish but pretty useless Flare talent
Flare (Active)
- Cooldown increased from 20 to 30 seconds
- Reveal duration increased from 5 seconds to 20 seconds
Yeah, that is a 20-second duration-- talk about a stealth heroes worst nightmare. Valeera counter confirmed?
