Zoia returns to Heroes as Manager for Denial Esports

Caster, content creator, and old time Tempo Storm manager Zoia  is returning to make NA Heroes great again.

If you just became a fan of competitive Heroes this past year, you might not know who Zoia is or why his return is a great thing.

Let me tell a brief story of a time long past-- when NA was arguably the strongest region, when Tempo Storm was the premiere Heroes team (with an over 40 game win streak) and Zoia was their manager.

Zoia didn't pull any punches on his criticism for... well anything. When a teams made mistakes, Zoia roasted them. When other teams or regions failed to perform at a tournament, Zoia taunted them. When interviewed on the state of the game, Zoia infamously called the entire Chinese region scrubs.

"The Western tradition of undermining the Eastern scene in MOBAs has led to the same bitter end so far."

That quote was the top post on the Reddit thread when this interview was shared. How true these words would prove to be.

With the wisdom we know today, Zoia's return to Heroes esports is an exciting one. Nowadays, no one remembers that Tempo Storm used to be an NA powerhouse. Currently, Korea dominates the game, and Denial eSports, NA's darling and last hope for glory, just performed miserably at BlizzCon 2016.

So maybe it's only fitting that Zoia would return at precisely this moment. Never a stranger to controversy, only time will tell if his pull-no-punches style can bring NA to its former glory.
