A New Hero: The Rise of College esports stars the four teams from Heroes of the Dorm, Tennessee , UConn, UT Arlington, and ASU.
Director Zach Lyons was tasked with telling "human story" of the largest televised esport event ever: Heroes of the Dorm. This massive event demanded the attention of the esports community (including this site) with it's ESPN backing, live televised nature, and over the top presentation. It was the most "esports" esports have ever felt.
If you have ever wondered about the teams outside of the game, this documentary is for you. Expect to learn about the motivations, struggles, and hardships of the teams' journey to the top and the climatic showdown that happened that fateful day in Seattle.
You can watch the full documentary on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook beginning November 8 at 10:00 a.m. PT. However, BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders can watch the world premiere on November 5 at 2:30 p.m. PT
