Srey: "Right now, Samuro is not first pick priority. He is not even second pick."

Pro player and content creator, Srey of Dumpster Tier Superstars feels that Samuro doesn't deserve the insta -bans he sees on nearly every Hero league game.

Srey creates some awesome strategic content. Whether it's his tier list or video guide series, any Hero League player can learn a lesson from the original Rank 1 grinder himself.

And the most important lesson this month? The hype over Samuro may not be entirely warranted. I've already experienced this stinging realization and I now view the first pick Samuro as a liability, not a strength. Srey explains it best:

Right now, Samuro is not first pick priority. He is not even second pick. He is literally a situational and niche pick that you will be picking if the stars align. If you pick him early, you almost just lose. Almost every time. It's really easy to counter pick and he is really not effective vs. double support or double warrior comps.

Srey then goes on to explain that the reason he dominates Hero League is because these type of drafts simply don't exist. The majority of the player base sticks to the auto pilot strategy of 1 warrior, 1 support, at least 2 ranged assassins and a random last pick. These type of unorganized drafts are what Samuro preys upon, giving the illusion of incredible imbalance.

In the video, he concedes that Samuro is likely in need of some tweaks, but if Blizzard goes too far, it is unlikely Samuro will ever see competitive play:
