A while ago a Chinese caster leaked information about Netease hosting a major post-BlizzCon Heroes of the Storm tournament. Today, Netease formally announced the tournament as the 2016 Gold Club World Championship.

- #1 NA Seed
- #1 EU Seed
- #1 KR Seed
- Both CN teams that qualified to BlizzCon
- 1 CN team from qualifiers
- 1 team from a global qualifier
Note: If the #1 seed from a major region wins Blizzcon, the next highest seed will be invited.
Other Information
- $300,000 total prize pool, with first place receiving $90,000
- Both qualifiers and the Group Stage will start on November 12.
- The finals will be held @ Water Cube, Beijing
