Pro caster and former Tempo Storm stalwart Kaeyoh looks at the current draft meta, in general, and battleground-specific
Highlights:
- General approach: Try to first pick Zagara, followed by top tier mages (Falstad, Li Ming), then good wave clear on a rotational map (like Tomb), then proceed to counter-pick your opponents.
- Diablo Maps (Battlefield, Shrines): Top pick on both is Sylvanas to enable the objective (Immortal, Punisher.) On BoE, next priority is damage to Immortal (Li Ming, Greymane);
- On Shrines: you want good ability to clear Guardians that can also survive Shrine fights (Rehgar, Sonya, bruisers); plus Lunara.
He follows with a lengthy list of general tips such as the value of Vikings on Garden and Towers, the strength of Muradin or Johanna combined with a backline of three ranged assassins, and how the latest hero, Auriel, is a solid support choice provided you don't need Cleanse.
