The five teams that advanced through qualifers to the main event were MVP Miracle, RoMG, Boom, First Family and White Water.

From this tweet, it is safe to say that Boom is the new name for Watch, who played in Power League as LeaveKongAlone, the third place finishers.

Schedule (First 4 matches)

July 30 (20:00 KST = 4:00 PDT) Tempo Storm vs. MVP Miracle

August 4, 13:00 KST = August 3, 9:00 PDT MVP Black vs. White Water

August 11 (19:00 KST = 3:00 PDT) RoMG vs. Boom

August 18 (19:00 KST = 3:00 PDT) L5 vs. First Family

Group A

Tempo Storm

The defending Power League, Super League, and Global Champions, they are the prohibitive favorites to finish first in this group. They did show some weakness during Power League though, losing 6 out of the last 10 maps to Team L5 as well as a map to Boom (LeaveKongAlone) in the Losers' Finals.

MVP Miracle

When TNL broke up, the players migrated to two different teams.  Half of the players came to this team, and going by sheer talent and name recognition, they should wind up finishing 2nd in Group A. There are a lot of question marks about this team though, as they played only one match in Power League before they forfeited the remaining matches due to health issues, and that was a blowout loss to Tempo Storm.

RoMG

A former amateur outfit, they have grown into a solid mid tier team.  They finished 4th in Power League, and were eliminated by Mighty in the decider match during last season's Super League.  Amazingly, this team has been together the longest of the four teams in this group.

Boom

Boom played under the name LeaveKongAlone during Power League Season 2, and they impressed many with their surprisingly strong performances on route to a 3rd place finish.  Of particular note is that Kong's Girlfriend Ezz played with the team in Power League, although she will simply be the team's manager going into Super League.  Ex-Mighty's Joker is her replacement.

The Big Question

Who finishes 2nd in Group A? MVP Miracle? RoMG? Boom? A good argument could be made for any of these three teams to advance.  Whoever advances, the games promise to be extremely exciting and close.

Group B

MVP Black

MVP Black started off 2016 as the unquestioned best team in the world, winning Super League Season 1, Power League Season 1, Spring Championships, and GHL Spring.  They had a 41 map winning streak before it was broken by eStar Gaming, and hadn't suffered a loss since the Super League Finals of 2015.  But no team remains on top forever, and they were surpassed by Tempest (now Tempo Storm) in the finals of last season's Super League, suffering a shocking 0-4 defeat.  MVP Black and Tempest would meet again in the Grand Finals of the Summer Championship, and the result was perhaps the best match in Heroes esports history that saw Tempest ultimately prevail in five hard fought games.  Since they elected not to play in last season's Power League, they haven't played an official match since their Grand Finals loss, and everyone will be watching to see if they will return stronger than ever.

Team L5

When TNL broke apart, half of the players went to MVP Miracle and the other half came here.  Many thought that MVP Miracle would be the team rising from the ashes of TNL to become a force to be reckoned with, but so far Team L5 has clearly been the better team.  They have already managed to defeat the defending World Champions in the Winners' Finals of Power League, and although they ultimately lost the Grand Finals to Tempo Storm in 7 hard fought games, they have left no doubt that they are among Korea's very best.

White Water and First Family

Let's be honest here: neither of these two Korean teams are expected to do much, especially given how good the above two teams are.

The Big Question

Most will expect MVP Black to finish first in this group, but could the impossible happen? Could Team L5 topple MVP Black after having already defeated Tempo Storm in a match?

Season 3 of Super League starts with Tempo Storm v. MVP Miracle Saturday, July 30th 3:00AM PST.
