Citing personal reasons for his departure, Lowell also says that this is not the last we will see of him.

Joaquim 'Lowell' Fitas, who has played at a very high level for Team Liquid and Fnatic, has announced that he will be quitting competitive Heroes of the Storm. He has stated in a post that due to changes in his personal circumstances, he will not be able to commit 100% to playing competitively, and so wishes to change his focus for the future.

Lowell has been one of the long standing members of the European Heroes of the Storm scene, and his skill and experience is going to be missed. Despite him stepping down from HotS professionally, he does state that he will still look to be involved in esports, already set to help in the running of events in Switzerland.

Also made quite obvious is his desire to play and eventually compete in Street Fighter V now that he has the time for other games, so in the future there is a chance that we may see Lowell's name pop up in the European Street Fighter scene.

Lowell's full statement can be read here, and with his intent to continue streaming, he can be found at twitch.tv/lowell
