Nexus Drafthouse, a series brought to you by Storm Legacy and SaharaDrac, looks to teach one of the most mysterious parts of competitive Heroes of the Storm- the draft phase!
Drafting is perhaps the trickest part of competitive Heroes of the Storm, and it gets trickier with every new hero release. Early in a Heroes player's career it's common to just pick your favorite heroes without much thought about specific team compositions, but as you climb the ranks (and with a more complete ranked mode on the horizon) drafting strategies become a crucial part of winning the game.
The choice of which heroes to play is dependent on so many variables, the battleground being just one of them. There is more depth to the draft screen than just first picking Kael'thas and banning Illidan every game, and "losing on the draft screen" is a real thing. Gale Force eSport's Michael Udall knows all about this depth and, as the first guest on Storm Legacy's new show hosted by Saharadrac, he shares some of his drafting secrets.
Starting with the basics and eventually using in-game examples to illustrate his points, this is a solid start to what I hope to be is a long and informative series.
