Harvard Disqualified from Heroes of the Dorm Tournament

Harvard's Team Ambush disqualified for Account Sharing

After an investigation from Blizzard Entertainment and Tespa, Team Ambush from Harvard University has been disqualified after it was discovered that one of the players had shared his Battle.net account with a higher-rated player who was not officialy listed as a member of the team.

A statement from Heroes of the Dorm officials said, “We have zero tolerance for cheating in our tournaments. The rules are in place to ensure a fair playing field for all participants.”

Team Ambush isn’t the first team to be found in violation of tournament rules this year, Team Hot Boys from Michigan was also disqualified for similar reasons. Blizzard Entertainment says it intends to take disciplinary action against the Battle.net accounts involved with these incidents.

The tournament administration will set up a match between the two teams who played Harvard, The Golden Mishas from UC Berkeley and Team Tilt from Indiana-Purdue, to determine who will continue on in the Super Sixteen this weekend. The Bracket Challenge scores will be updated to reflect this change.
