Rematch of Super League 2015 decides Korea's Spring Champion

A clash between two of the top Korean (and possibly world) teams rematched Super League 2015 to decide who would get a higher seed going into the Global Spring Championships.
Though heavily favored, MVP Black faced a stunning defeat in August at the hands of TNL (then Team DK) and would only see BlizzCon 2015 from the sidelines.

Fast forward several months and once again they are facing each other in the Grand Finals of Super League-Season 1, this time to crown a champion of Korea. Even though both teams will continue on to the Global Spring Championships they still have much to prove. TNL must defend their title and show that last year wasn’t just a fluke, while MVP Black needed to show that they are Korea’s best team not just during the regular season but also when it counts the most.

The stun meta may be dead in other regions, but it is alive and well within Korea. MVP Black dominated the first game with chain stuns from Thrall, ETC, and Tyrande. Leoric, TNL’s solo warrior, was repeatedly targeted and his 7 deaths left them struggling to defend as MVP Black opened the finals with a convincing win.

TNL was off to a rough 2-0 start, and if there was a map where they could make up some lost ground for Game 3, Cursed Hollow was it. Being one of their favorite maps and catering to their strength with rotations, TNL hoped it would give them the advantage. But it was not to be. MVP Black’s 'KyoCha' on Falstad took Bribe, one of the most questionable talent picks of the series, catalyzing a brilliant strategy where Falstad would capture a mercenary camp when a tribute would spawn and then fly to the tribute’s location. Sounds so simple right? It definitely is, but also sometimes hard to accomplish and RARELY seen in competitive play. The highlight of the match was definitely a battle over a late tribute, initiated by a well-timed Hook from Stitches, that saw every single heroic and ability used in the space of a few seconds without anyone dying. Low on health and mana, TNL backed while MVP Black went and captured their boss. Following the boss all the way to the core, MVP Black barely survived TNL’s defense long enough to win the match making the score 3-0.

This third loss was the final blow to TNL and you could tell going into Towers of Doom in game four. At a mere 14 minutes into the game, TNL's core was already at 10 health, and from then on there was no recovering.

The victors jubiously gathered around the Super League Championship trophy (which is arguably the coolest looking Heroes trophy ever. Sorry Europe) and hoisted it in unison. As they stood on stage accepting their prize they graciously acknowledged and thanked TNL for beating them the year before.

Both TNL and MVP Black will represent Korea at the Global Spring Championship in Seoul in April. With MVP Black now the Korean champions they will automatically advance to the Second Group Stage alongside Team Dignitas. TNL will be in the First Group Stage and will first face the Champion of the Latin American Regional
