The stage is set for for Katowice in the Spring Championship after the final two teams qualified today.?
Pigs in a Blanket dominated the competition in the final Katowice qualifier today where they were able to win out against opponents in the upper bracket - beating The Sandwich Monkey in the final game to be crowned the winners. TSaM beat mYinsanity in the second round of the upper bracket, giving mYinsanity one last chance in the lower bracket. With their tournament life on the line, mYinsanity cleaned up their game and went on to win out the lower bracket and get revenge on TSaM in the lower bracket finale.
Cho'Gall saw competitive play in the final round of the lower bracket, which is an increasing trend across both NA and EU regions. mYi won over TSaM 2-0 and played Cho'Gall in game number one. After losing to Pigs in a Blanket, TSaM had a guaranteed spot in the lower bracket finale. Even though TSaM beat mYi in the upper bracket they couldn't stop the momentum mYinsanity gained from winning out the lower bracket.
This isn't the first time TSaM lost a when they truly needed to win- in the second qualifier they lost to Na'Vi in the final game, making them the "close, but no cigar" team with regards to main event qualification. Maybe next time.

Everything is in motion for the Katowice Championship to showcase some of Europe's best Heroes of the Storm teams. Not only is this a shot at a $100,000 prize pool, it's also a chance for EU teams to show who is the strongest admits a pre-season filled with roster changes and player swaps.
