Stepping from the shadows and into the backline, Zeratul has been cleaving through everyone today in the NA Spring Qualifiers.
In what SolidJake called "one of the most exciting matches to cast in forever", Tempo Storm was just barely able to squeeze out victory against Team Blaze. Blaze, previously not dropping a single game in the tournament, is widely known for their unique drafting and gameplay strategies. When a team with this reputation does something a bit strange, it can be more terrifying than a team of five kael'thas' on release.
Favoring stall and sustain, Team Blaze's draft was very weird indeed. Although they were able to play it well, and it worked for a time, Tempo Storm had two key factors for victory. Zeratul and Morales. Morales loves healing against low damage, sustain teams. She has enough juice to keep someone topped off, and the power to keep someone alive through a small bit of burst. During these wars of attrition, Zeratul was mostly free to do what he wanted (within the limits Brightwing imposed of course).
It was these aggressive, flanking manouvers that would eventually win Tempo Storm the game, and their spot at Los Angeles.
On the other end of the bracket, COGnitive went completely unopposed. Winning every series without dropping a single is fairly impressive, but they also did it with style. Heroes like Stitches and Cho'Gall have been seeing more and more play lately, and COG is not afraid to draft them at all. Having three Stitches players on their team might help a bit too.
