EU struggle for dominance continues in Enter the Storm qualifier #5

Fnatic is on top of the rankings, but Na'Vi won the qualifier. EU still has no clear strongest team.

The European Heroes of the Storm scene is in one of its greatest battles yet: the battle for #1 team. So far, Fnatic is on top of our rankings, but there is no clear cut best team EU. Games between the top three (and a few new teams) are more like rock paper scissors - with team A beating team B but being beaten by team C.

Enter the Storm 4 qualifier #5 exemplified that in spades. The Sandwich Monkey was able to beat not only the new Virtus.Pro roster, but also Fnatic (aforementioned current #1 EU in our rankings) only to be beaten very decisively by Na'Vi (currently rank #3) in the finals.

This creates a very interesting dynamic in European HotS. With no team being a clear favorite to win any given game, the action feels much more impactful, and every win feels more earned. It will also be interesting to see who comes out on top when ETS 4 playoffs begin.

With today's qualifier complete, the new rankings are as follows. The top 14 teams after the final qualifier will be invited to compete in the main event where they will fight for a $10,00 prize pool along with a slew of ROCCAT gear. If you'd like to get in on this action, don't forget to sign up. Qualifiers are open to everyone so long as you have a team.

Enter the Storm will return with our 6th qualifier on January 3rd, and as always, they will be streamed live on twitch.tv/khaldor.

Don't forget that you can bet on all these matches for free and win some sweet ROCCAT gear in the process. For more information, check out our GosuBet December contest hub.
