Bob Ross Fan club have dropped their first game in Enter the Storm NA. A nearly meaningless defeat, as they remain undefeated.
Yesterday's games may have been intense, but the stakes today were far higher. Today was a day of eliminations. The teams in the loser's bracket that didn't prove themselves were swiftly and mercilessly knocked out of the tournament. If you missed any games, or just want to revisit some of your favorite moments, you can download in-game replays right here.
Not every team can make it to the finals, and sadly today we lost both Panda Global and Team Blank. Through their defeat however, 2Arc Gaming and eLevate Heroes live on. It remains to be seen if they can use this new found momentum to break through their respective opponents.
This is an interesting series because there was always one or two specific points where you could see Team Blaze break down. I don't know whether it was errors in communication, nerves, or what, but both of these games ended very poorly for the underdogs. Although the games seemed fairly even throughout, BRFC always punished a lack of coordination swiftly, and left Blaze little room for mistakes.
This was a very grim series for GFE. As a team that seems to favor comps centered around the high damage, low mobility of Kael'thas, GFE has an incredibly difficult time against Murloc Geniuses secret weapon this tournament. That's right, the Nova not only made a return, she returned in full force. By the end of the games she was dealing enough damage to delete those pesky low health targets with ease, as well as GFE's hopes and dreams.
This was undoubtedly the best series of today and if you haven't seen it I highly recommend you download the replay before reading on. Murloc Geniuses came right of the gate ready to win, and with an incredibly hard fought first game, they managed to do just that. They gave BRFC their first defeat of ETS NA. According to Murloc Geniuses' very own Kayla Murray, what happened next was 'do the opposite of our game plan'. AS you can imagine, game two did not go their way. MG gathered themselves and looked ahead to game three, fully embracing their pocket Nova. It was, however, not meant to be, and BRFC won a fairly convincing game three on Towers of Doom.
There's no way to dance around this, eLevate looked like the clear underdog in this matchup, but they looked like an entirely different team from yesterday. These games were hardly close, with eLevate grabbing a lead and keeping a firm grasp on it. Not much more can be said about these games, but if you'd like to watch some incredible Thrall play, I highly recommend watching these as Nessper did an outstanding job.
2Arc has unfortunately had to bring in a sub two days in a row, but that didn't stop them from delivering entertaining, high performance games. Today's sub was Sheth whom you might know from Starcraft. His incredibly Zagara play was invaluable to their success today, but I'd be over hyping it if I didn't also mention that Team Blank looked incredibly unfocused. Their fights were sloppy at best, and downright anti-synergy at worst. It was a sad ending to a promising team's run in ETS NA.
